UP Scholarship 2023-2024: The Government of Uttar Pradesh is providing various scholarships for the benefit of students in all communities. These scholarships help students who are willing to pursue higher education.

In this article, we have provided the eligibility criteria, required documents, and the application procedure for all the scholarships.

UP Scholarship 2023-2024 (Online Application Dates & Scholarship Status)

1. Uttar Pradesh Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/General

This scheme is organized by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is applicable to the 9th & 10th class students in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Students who belong to the SC/ST/General category can check the documents required to apply for this scheme and submit their applications online.

Most of the students in the UP state stop their education before finishing their matriculation. The aim of this scheme is to encourage the students to finish their 10th standard by providing financial support.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must belong to the Uttar Pradesh State
• Students pursuing the class 9th or class 10th are eligible to apply
• The student must belong to the General or SC or ST categories.
• The family’s annual income of the student should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/-

• Latest Passport Size Photograph

• Caste Certificate
• Pass Certificate of the last exam
• Admission letter for the current academic year

2. UP Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship for SC/ST/General

This scheme is also for SC, ST, and General category students of Uttar Pradesh State. Organized and funded by the Department of Social Welfare, Uttar Pradesh State. Students pursuing classes 11th and 12th can apply and get benefited from this scheme.

The application procedure and the eligibility criteria have been provided below.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate must belong to the SC or ST or General Categories
• Must be pursuing either class 11 or 12
• The applicant must belong to the Uttar Pradesh state
• For General Category Students, the family’s annual income must be less than Rs. 2,00,000/- (Less than Two Lakh Rupees)
• In the case of SC, and ST category students, the family’s income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum (Less than Two Lakh Fifty Thousand Only)

Required Documents:

There are a few documents required to submit the application online. Those are as follows.

• Proof of Residential Address
• Passport Size Photograph of the student
• Income Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Birth Certificate
• ID Proof of the student
• Bank Passbook of the student
• Bank passbook of the parent
• Previous year’s pass certificate
• Admission letter for the current academic year

3. UP Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/General (Other than Intermediate)

Like the above-mentioned scholarships, this scheme is also organized by the Department of Social Welfare and funded by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The candidates pursuing Graduation, Post Graduation, or other Higher Studies and belonging to the SC or ST or General Category can apply for this scholarship.

The detailed eligibility and the required documents have been listed below.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must belong to the state of Uttar Pradesh
• Must be from the SC or ST or General category only
• He/ She must be studying their Graduation, Post Graduation, or higher-level studies.
• The annual income of the General category students must be less than Rs. 2,00,000/- from all the sources
• Whereas in the case of SC/ ST category students, the family’s annual income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/- only from all the sources

Those who meet the above-said eligibility criteria are needed to upload the below documents while submitting the application.

• Domicile Certificate
• Candidate’s ID Proof
• Residential Address Proof
• Income Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Date of Birth Certificate of the Candidate
• Last academic year’s pass certificate
• Joining Letter or the Fee Receipt of the current academic year
• Bank’s Pass Book of the applicant and the parent

4. Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/General (Other State) 2022-23

The application procedure for the Post-Matric Other State Scholarship for SC, ST and General categories will begin in the month of July and it will be closed in November every year.

This scholarship is offered by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under the umbrella of the Social Welfare Department.

Students belonging to the SC or ST or General Category and pursuing 11th class and above can utilize this opportunity by submitting the application online.

Applicants are requested to go through the eligibility criteria and the required documents before applying for the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The applicant must be studying the class 11th or above and can apply
• Must be from SC (or) ST (or) General Categories only
• The family’s annual income of the General Category students must not cross Rs. 2,00,000/- (Less Than Two Lakh Rupees per annum)
• For SC & ST category students, the family’s annual income must be less than Rs. 2,50,000/- from all sources.

Documents Required:

The following are the documents that are needed to be uploaded at the time of application submission.

• Passport Size Photograph
• Proof of the Residential Address
• Family’s Income Certificate
• Caste Certificate
• Birth Certificate of the student
• Student’s ID Proof
• Bank Passbook of the Student and the parent

• Current academic year’s admission letter or Fee Receipt

5. UP Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities 2023-24

The Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is organized by the Minority Department, Uttar Pradesh. This scholarship is for the students of Uttar Pradesh state pursuing the 9th and 10th classes.

Minority community students in the state of Uttar Pradesh studying 9th or 10th classes can apply for this scholarship.

The purpose of this scheme is to encourage minority community students to finish their matriculation by providing financial assistance.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following are the eligibility details to get benefited from the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minorities, UP.

• The applicant must belong to the Uttar Pradesh State
• Only Minority community students are eligible to apply
• The student must be pursuing 9th or 10th standard
• The annual income of the family must be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- from all sources (Less than One Lakh)

6. UP Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities (Other than Intermediate)

This scholarship is also for minority community students in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The only difference is the candidates studying UG or PG or above are eligible to apply for this scheme.

Like the above-mentioned schemes, this scheme is also managed by the Minority Welfare Department of the Uttar Pradesh state.

Eligibility Criteria:

The key eligibility factors are listed below

• The student must belong to the state of Uttar Pradesh
• Must be from the Minority Community
• Must be pursuing a Degree or Post Graduation or other higher-level studies
• The annual income of the family must not cross Rs. 2,00,000/- from all sources (Less than Two Lakh Rupees)

7. UP Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship for Minorities 2023-24

The students of Uttar Pradesh who are pursuing Intermediate education and belong to the Minority Community can apply for this scheme. This scheme is organized and funded by the Uttar Pradesh Government under the Department of Minority Welfare.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should be studying class 11 or class 12 (Intermediate)
• Must belong to the UP state
• Should be from the Minority Community only
• The family’s income must be less than Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum.

8. UP Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students 2023-24

This scholarship is offered by the Department of Backward Class Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The students who are in the 9th and 10th standards can utilize this opportunity by submitting the application online.

This scheme is introduced to encourage the students to finish their matriculation as many of the students drop their education at this level.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The student must belong to the OBC category
• He/She must be from the Uttar Pradesh State
• The annual income of the family should be less than Rs. 1 Lakh

9. UP Post-Matric Intermediate Scholarship for OBC Students

As mentioned in the above-listed scholarship, this scheme is also for OBC students and is offered by the Department of Backward Class Welfare, UP.

The students of the UP state pursuing Intermediate education and belonging to the OBC community can apply for this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate must be from OBC Category only
• Must be studying Intermediate Education (Class 11th or 12th)
• The applicant should belong to the UP state
• The family’s income should be less than Rs. 2 Lakh per annum

10. UP Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC (Other than Intermediate)

The Post-Matric Other than Intermediate Scholarship for OBC is organized by the Department of Backward Class Welfare, UP. The aim of the scheme is to encourage the students to study Graduation, Post Graduation, and other Higher level studies by providing financial support.

All the students of the Uttar Pradesh state pursuing UG, PG and higher education can submit the application online.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should belong to the Uttar Pradesh state
• Students studying above Intermediate education are eligible to apply for this scheme (Graduation, Post Graduation, Ph.D., etc.,)
• The candidate should be from OBC (Other Backward Class) category only
• The annual income of the family must not cross Rs. 2,00,000/- per annum (from all the sources).
