Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana 2022: PM Mudra Loan is an initiative by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This scheme was introduced on the 8th day of April 2015. The word MUDRA is referred to as Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency.

This scheme is divided into three categories

  1. Shishu
  2. Kishor
  3. Tarun

Shishu:

The scheme SHISHU is for those who are seeking a loan amount below Rs. 50,000/-

Kishore:

The loan amount provided under this scheme is above Rs. 50,000/- and below 5 Lakh.

Tarun:

The loan amount between 5 to 10 lakh comes under this scheme. The eligibility criteria and the list of required documents are provided below.

Step 1: Download the Application Form for Mudra Loan

Step 2: Visit the nearest bank that comes under the above-mentioned sectors.

Step 3: Consult the bank executive and explain your business

Step 4: Produce the necessary documents listed in the above section along with the filled application form

Step 5: You will get notified from the bank after the loan approval

Note: There will be no processing fee for the application of Mudra Loans

  • You will be taken to the Mudra Loan Registration Page
  • The registration process is carried out in 4 stages

    • Choose Hand-Holding Support
    • Fill Application Form
    • Apply to Preferred Lender
  • Enter the loan amount and fill out all the details
  • Upload the necessary documents and submit the application
  • Your application will be sent to the preferred lender
  • The executive of that particular Financial Institution will get back to you

PM Mudra Loan at Banks

There are many public and private sector banks providing mudra loans. There is little variation between bank to bank in terms of required documents, interest rates, and terms.

The following are some important points & guidelines at SBI in addition to the guidelines provided by the government.

Margin (%):

  • Loan amount < Rs. 50,000/- = Margin % is nil
  • Loan amount between Rs. 50,000/- and 10 lakh = Margin is 10%

Repayment Period:

The repayment period at SBI is 3 to 5 years including the moratorium period

Processing Fee:

  • No processing fee is charged for Shishu & Kishore Loans
  • The processing fee of 0.50% + Taxes will be collected in the case of Tarun Loans
